Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 4
तस्मात्पूर्वेण देवेशि योजनैकेन निर्मलम् । त्रितकूपेति विख्यातं सर्वपातकनाशनम् । सर्वेषां देवि तीर्थानां यत्तत्रैव व्यवस्थितिः
tasmātpūrveṇa deveśi yojanaikena nirmalam | tritakūpeti vikhyātaṃ sarvapātakanāśanam | sarveṣāṃ devi tīrthānāṃ yattatraiva vyavasthitiḥ
Desde allí, hacia el oriente, oh Señora de los dioses, a una distancia de un yojana, se halla un lugar puro, célebre como Tritakūpa, destructor de todos los pecados. Oh Diosa, se dice que allí mismo está reunida y establecida la potencia sagrada de todos los tīrthas.
