अग्निश्च रेतो मृडया च देहो रेतोधा विष्णुरमृतस्य नाभिः । एतद्ब्रुवन्पार्वति सत्यवाक्यं ततोऽवगाहेत्तु पतिं नदीनाम्
agniśca reto mṛḍayā ca deho retodhā viṣṇuramṛtasya nābhiḥ | etadbruvanpārvati satyavākyaṃ tato'vagāhettu patiṃ nadīnām
«Agni es la semilla; el cuerpo se forma por la gracia benévola de Śiva; Viṣṇu porta esa semilla y es el ombligo de la inmortalidad.» Diciendo estas palabras veraces, oh Pārvatī, debe uno entrar luego en las aguas—señor de los ríos—para el baño purificador.
