Type: kshetra
Listener: Candra
Scene: A cosmic vision: Śiva as the Supreme Self stands luminous, while a circle of Brāhmaṇas across the earth are shown as his limbs—his body mapped onto the community of vow-keepers; the ocean-bounded earth is depicted as a mandala.
Śaiva dharma here equates honoring true Brāhmaṇas with honoring Śiva Himself, grounding social ethics in theology.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra; the māhātmya uses the site’s sanctity to teach reverence as a form of Śiva-bhakti.
No single rite is named; the core prescription is satkāra/pūjā of Brāhmaṇas as Śiva’s embodiment.
