ईश्वर उवाच । ब्रह्मणस्तु पुरा देवि दक्षो नाम सुतोऽभवत् । प्रजाः सृजेति उद्दिष्टः पूर्वं दक्षः स्वयंभुवा
īśvara uvāca | brahmaṇastu purā devi dakṣo nāma suto'bhavat | prajāḥ sṛjeti uddiṣṭaḥ pūrvaṃ dakṣaḥ svayaṃbhuvā
