ईश्वर उवाच । यदा तु पृथिवी व्याप्ता दानवैर्बलवत्तरैः । ततः प्रभृति शापेन भृगुनैमित्तिकेन ह
īśvara uvāca | yadā tu pṛthivī vyāptā dānavairbalavattaraiḥ | tataḥ prabhṛti śāpena bhṛgunaimittikena ha
Īśvara dijo: «Cuando la tierra quedó invadida por los poderosísimos Dānavas, entonces, desde aquel tiempo en adelante—por la maldición ocasionada por Bhṛgu—(el curso divino) se desarrolló así».
