कालहीनं न कर्तव्यं कृतं न फलदं भवेत् । वेदेष्वयमधीकारो दृष्टः सर्वो मनीषिभिः

Transliteration

kālahīnaṃ na kartavyaṃ kṛtaṃ na phaladaṃ bhavet | vedeṣvayamadhīkāro dṛṣṭaḥ sarvo manīṣibhiḥ

Translation

Un rito no debe realizarse fuera de su tiempo debido; si se hace a destiempo, no da fruto. Esta norma sobre la idoneidad y el momento ritual se halla en todos los Vedas, como lo han reconocido los sabios.
