सांब उवाच । कृष्णेनाहं सुरश्रेष्ठ शप्तः पापः सुदुर्मतिः । कुष्ठांतं कुरु मे देव यदि तुष्टोऽसि मे प्रभो
sāṃba uvāca | kṛṣṇenāhaṃ suraśreṣṭha śaptaḥ pāpaḥ sudurmatiḥ | kuṣṭhāṃtaṃ kuru me deva yadi tuṣṭo'si me prabho
Sāmba dijo: «Oh el más excelso entre los dioses, yo—pecador y de torpe entendimiento—he sido maldecido por Kṛṣṇa. Oh Señor, si estás complacido conmigo, pon fin a mi lepra.»
