सूत उवाच । एतत्पुराणमखिलं पुरा स्कन्देन भाषितम् । भृगवे ब्रह्मपुत्राय तस्माल्लेभे तथांऽगिराः
sūta uvāca | etatpurāṇamakhilaṃ purā skandena bhāṣitam | bhṛgave brahmaputrāya tasmāllebhe tathāṃ'girāḥ
Sūta dijo: Este Purāṇa en su totalidad fue antaño proclamado por Skanda a Bhṛgu, hijo de Brahmā; y de él lo recibió también Aṅgiras.
