Pulastya
Tirtha: Kedāra (Kedāra-tīrtha/shrine in Arbuda context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: A king (nṛpa/mahārāja)
Scene: A king receives instruction to undertake a Śivarātri pilgrimage and to worship Kedāra; the shrine is shown with a liṅga, lamps, bilva leaves, and pilgrims arriving in procession.
The text unites sacred time and sacred place: Śivarātri is best honored through yātrā and devoted worship of Śiva at Kedāra.
Kedāra/Kedāranātha is explicitly recommended for worship and pilgrimage.
Perform yātrā (pilgrimage) and carry out Kedāra-pūjā specifically on Śivarātri.
