गोमती च समानीता तपसा नृपसत्तम । तत्र स्नातो नरः सम्यक्पातकै र्विप्रमुच्यते
gomatī ca samānītā tapasā nṛpasattama | tatra snāto naraḥ samyakpātakai rvipramucyate
Oh el mejor de los reyes, por el poder de la austeridad fue traído allí el río Gomatī. Quien se baña debidamente en ese lugar queda por completo liberado de pecados y transgresiones.

Austerity sanctifies geography; bathing at such sanctified waters is taught as a means of inner and karmic purification.
