Transliteration

mṛkaṃḍopi sutaṃ jñātvā tataḥ kṣīṇāyuṣaṃ nṛpa | paṃcavārṣikamapyārttaścakāropanayānvitam

Translation

Oh rey, Mṛkaṇḍa también, al comprender que su hijo entonces era de vida menguada, con angustia realizó su iniciación (upanayana), aunque el niño tenía apenas cinco años.
