Transliteration

evaṃ varṣasahasrāṃte bhramatastasyabhūtalam | viprasya pakṣināthasya varārthāya drijottamāḥ

Translation

Así, tras mil años de vagar por la tierra en busca de un novio, el más excelso de los bráhmanas prosiguió su búsqueda, llevado por el señor de las aves.
