Listener: Sura-īśvara / Deva-lord (contextually Viṣṇu in the subsequent reply)
Scene: Indra, awed, addresses the Lord of the gods, confessing that no being in the three worlds seems fit whose bones could become a thunderbolt of such extraordinary form.
True sacrifice and extraordinary merit are rare; Indra’s doubt highlights the uniqueness of the coming donor-sage.
No specific tīrtha is named in this verse.
