भरद्वाज उवाच । जीर्यंति जीर्यतः केशा दंता जीर्यंति जीर्यतः । चक्षुः श्रोत्रे तथा पुंसस्तृष्णैका तरुणायते
bharadvāja uvāca | jīryaṃti jīryataḥ keśā daṃtā jīryaṃti jīryataḥ | cakṣuḥ śrotre tathā puṃsastṛṣṇaikā taruṇāyate
Dijo Bharadvāja: Cuando el hombre envejece, envejece su cabello; envejecen sus dientes; envejecen también sus ojos y oídos. Pero sólo la tṛṣṇā, la sed del deseo, permanece siempre joven en su interior.
