Transliteration

tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā nirāśaḥ sa mahīpatiḥ | vairāgyaṃ paramaṃ gatvā maraṇe kṛtaniścayaḥ

Translation

Al oír aquellas palabras, el rey quedó sin esperanza. Alcanzando el supremo desapego (vairāgya), tomó la firme resolución de morir.
