Transliteration

vedapāṭho viprabhaktireṣāṃ śastreṇa jīvanam | strībālagobrāhmaṇārthe bhūmyarthe svāmisaṃkaṭe

Translation

Para ellos (los kṣatriya) se prescribe la recitación védica y la devoción a los brāhmaṇa; su sustento es por el arma—empleada por el bien de mujeres, niños, vacas y brāhmaṇas, para la defensa de la tierra y cuando su señor se halla en peligro.
