Skanda (deduced from Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya narrative style)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā (smṛti-prāpta—attained through remembrance)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee at dawn beside a small water pot (udapātra), eyes closed in Gaṅgā-smaraṇa; a subtle luminous stream symbolically descends into the vessel, making it Gaṅgā-jala; the devotee performs snāna with reverence.
Sacred remembrance (smaraṇa) carries transforming power, making devotion a bridge to tīrtha-merit even at home.
The Gaṅgā is glorified as the paradigmatic tīrtha whose sanctity can be invoked through remembrance.
Remember Gaṅgā near a water vessel and perform snāna using that water as Gaṅgā-jala.
