samāgamo muniśreṣṭha dīnasyotkaṇṭhitasya ca | tasmādutthāpya tāṃ tūrṇaṃ prāyaścittavidhiṃ tataḥ | tasmādādiśa me kṣipraṃ yena śuddhiḥ prajāyate
Type: kshetra
Scene: A distressed petitioner addresses a venerable ṛṣi, hands folded, pleading for immediate instruction on expiation and purity; an ashram setting near a sacred waterbody implied by tīrtha-mahātmya ambience.
Dharma is restored through prāyaścitta and śuddhi; longing must be guided into lawful purification rather than impulsive action.
The request for expiation occurs within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra Māhātmya in the Nāgara Khaṇḍa.
The verse explicitly asks for a prāyaścitta-vidhi (expiation procedure) leading to śuddhi (purification), though the exact rite is not detailed in this line.
