Listener: Vibhu (the Lord; addressed)
Scene: A chain depiction: envy/harsh speech leading to a rising red flame of anger; the flame burns a bundle labeled ‘tapas’; beyond it, a closed gate labeled ‘mokṣa’. A devotee asks the Lord ‘kathaṃ vibho?’
Anger is a pivotal spiritual hazard: it consumes tapas and prevents mokṣa; hence one must avoid conditions that provoke krodha.
The verse is ethical instruction within Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya; no single site name appears in this line.
No explicit ritual; it implies the discipline of kṣānti (forbearance) to preserve tapas and spiritual attainment.
