Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 68

अन्यपक्षे न किंचिच्च येन तृप्तिः प्रजायते । यज्ञस्यैव तु सर्वस्य तर्पयित्वा द्विजोत्तमम्

anyapakṣe na kiṃcicca yena tṛptiḥ prajāyate | yajñasyaiva tu sarvasya tarpayitvā dvijottamam

En la otra quincena no hay nada que haga nacer la satisfacción. Por ello, por el bien del yajña en su totalidad, debe colmarse (con tarpaṇa) al mejor de los dos veces nacidos, el brāhmaṇa eminente.
