मासं मासं प्रति सदा शांता दांता जितेंद्रियाः । ततो मासा वसानेऽन्ये चक्रुस्तच्छांतिकं द्विजाः
māsaṃ māsaṃ prati sadā śāṃtā dāṃtā jiteṃdriyāḥ | tato māsā vasāne'nye cakrustacchāṃtikaṃ dvijāḥ
Mes tras mes, siempre serenos, disciplinados y dueños de los sentidos, los brāhmaṇas realizaron ese mismo rito de śānti; y, al concluir el mes, otros brāhmaṇas efectuaron igualmente la misma śānti.
