स्वशरीरमालभेत् अनेन मंत्रेण । ओंखखोल्काय नमः । सप्तवारानुच्चार्य स्थातव्यम् । तेन शुद्धिरुपसंजायते देहस्यार्चार्हता भवति । पश्चादासनस्थं देवं सवितारं मंडलमध्ये द्वादशात्मकं सुरादिभिः संपूज्यमानं ध्यात्वा पूर्वोक्तमर्घपात्रं शिरसि कृत्वा भूमौ जानुनी निपात्य सूर्याभिमुखस्तद्गतमनाभूत्वार्घमंत्रमुदाहरेत् । तदुच्यते सूर्यवक्त्राद्विनिर्गतमिति
svaśarīramālabhet anena maṃtreṇa | oṃkhakholkāya namaḥ | saptavārānuccārya sthātavyam | tena śuddhirupasaṃjāyate dehasyārcārhatā bhavati | paścādāsanasthaṃ devaṃ savitāraṃ maṃḍalamadhye dvādaśātmakaṃ surādibhiḥ saṃpūjyamānaṃ dhyātvā pūrvoktamarghapātraṃ śirasi kṛtvā bhūmau jānunī nipātya sūryābhimukhastadgatamanābhūtvārghamaṃtramudāharet | taducyate sūryavaktrādvinirgatamiti
Debe tocar o ungir su propio cuerpo con este mantra: «Oṃ, reverencia a Khakholkā». Tras recitarlo siete veces, debe permanecer firme; así surge la pureza y el cuerpo se vuelve apto para el culto. Luego, meditando en Savitṛ sentado en su asiento dentro del mandala como la deidad de doce aspectos, venerada por los dioses, debe colocar sobre la cabeza el recipiente de arghya preparado, arrodillarse en tierra mirando al Sol con la mente absorta en él y recitar el arghya-mantra, del que se dice que brotó de la propia boca del Sol.
