vyasya vedānmahābuddhirnānā śākhā prabhedataḥ | aṣṭādaśapurāṇāni sūtādīnparipāṭhya ca

Translation

Aquel Vyāsa, de gran inteligencia, ordenó los Vedas en muchas śākhās y divisiones; y también dispuso que los dieciocho Purāṇas fueran debidamente enseñados y recitados por Sūta y otros.
