स्कंद उवाच । शृण्वगस्त्य महाभाग काश्यां ब्रह्मण्यपिस्थिते । गिरिशश्चिंतयामास भृशमुद्विग्नमानसः
skaṃda uvāca | śṛṇvagastya mahābhāga kāśyāṃ brahmaṇyapisthite | giriśaściṃtayāmāsa bhṛśamudvignamānasaḥ
Skanda dijo: Escucha, oh afortunado Agastya. Aun cuando Brahmā permanecía en Kāśī, Giriśa (Śiva) se puso a reflexionar hondamente, con la mente muy turbada.
Skanda
Tirtha: Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Listener: Agastya
Scene: Skanda addresses Agastya; in a parallel vignette, Śiva (Giriśa) sits in contemplation, brows knit, as Kāśī’s sacred aura surrounds him and Brahmā’s presence is implied nearby.
Even divine narratives in the Purāṇas highlight the gravity of Kāśī’s spiritual power and the cosmic significance of events occurring there.
Kāśī as the decisive sacred arena where Brahmā’s presence prompts Śiva’s contemplation.
None; the verse sets the emotional and theological context for the next episode.
