पुत्रे जाते पिता दद्द्याच्छ्रीमात्रे तु बलिं सदा । पलानि विंशतिः सर्प्पिर्गुडः पंचप लानि च

Transliteration

putre jāte pitā daddyācchrīmātre tu baliṃ sadā | palāni viṃśatiḥ sarppirguḍaḥ paṃcapa lāni ca

Translation

Cuando nace un hijo varón, el padre debe ofrecer siempre un bali (oblación) a Śrīmātṛ. (La ofrenda ha de incluir) veinte palas de ghee y también cinco palas de jaggery.
