श्रीराम उवाच । का त्वं शुभे कस्य परिग्रहो वा केनावधूता विजने निरस्ता । मुष्टं धनं केन च तावकीनमाचक्ष्व मातः सकलं ममाग्रे
śrīrāma uvāca | kā tvaṃ śubhe kasya parigraho vā kenāvadhūtā vijane nirastā | muṣṭaṃ dhanaṃ kena ca tāvakīnamācakṣva mātaḥ sakalaṃ mamāgre
Dijo Śrī Rāma: «Oh dama auspiciosa, ¿quién eres y de quién eres esposa? ¿Por quién has sido arrojada y abandonada en este lugar solitario? ¿Y quién te ha quitado ese puñado de bienes que era tuyo? Dímelo, madre: decláralo todo ante mí».
