Transliteration

sā babhūva mahārāja sāvitrīti prathā śivā | asurāṇāṃ vadhārthāya jñānajā sthāpitā suraiḥ

Translation

Oh gran rey, aquella diosa auspiciosa llegó a ser célebre como «Sāvitrī». Nacida del conocimiento sagrado, fue establecida por los dioses con el fin de dar muerte a los asuras.
