न चासौ पक्षिराट्तस्मिन्न स्त्रियो न च देवताः । तदेवैकं स्थितं लिङ्गमर्चयन्विस्मयान्वितः
na cāsau pakṣirāṭtasminna striyo na ca devatāḥ | tadevaikaṃ sthitaṃ liṅgamarcayanvismayānvitaḥ
Pero en aquel lugar no estaba ya el ave regia, ni las mujeres ni deidad alguna; sólo permanecía en pie aquel único Liṅga, mientras yo lo adoraba lleno de asombro.
