Narrator (contextual Purāṇic speaker within Revā Khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: nṛpa (king)
Scene: A king listens as a sage points to a riverbank altar; a pilgrim softly chants a single Vedic verse while holding kuśa grass; the river glows, suggesting ‘samagra-veda-phala’ emanating as light.
At a sanctified tīrtha, even minimal Vedic recitation done with reverence is magnified into comprehensive spiritual merit.
The Revā (Narmadā) tīrtha of this chapter, where mantra-recitation is said to yield extraordinary results.
Recitation (japa) of even one Vedic mantra—Ṛk, Yajus, or Sāman.
