राजोवाच । नाहं द्रव्यविहीनस्य असवर्णस्य कर्हिचित् । दास्यामि स्वां सुतां शुभ्रां गम्यतां द्विजपुंगव
rājovāca | nāhaṃ dravyavihīnasya asavarṇasya karhicit | dāsyāmi svāṃ sutāṃ śubhrāṃ gamyatāṃ dvijapuṃgava
El rey dijo: «Jamás daré a mi hermosa hija a quien carece de riquezas y no es de condición adecuada. Vete, oh el más excelso de los dos veces nacidos.»
