Narrator (addressing the listener as ‘Mahārāja’)
Listener: Mahārāja (king) addressed by the narrator
Scene: Indra (Sahasrākṣa) concludes counsel; the Gandharva’s son bows with folded hands and departs toward the earth, suggesting a descent from celestial court to the mortal realm.
Right counsel from the wise should be received with reverence and translated into decisive action.
Implicitly the Narmadā region, since the departure is to undertake the prescribed practice there.
Not in this verse; it narrates the beginning of the pilgrim’s movement toward the place of penance.
