ईश्वर उवाच । स्वागतं देवविप्राणां सुप्रभाताद्य शर्वरी । किं कुर्मो वदत क्षिप्रं कोऽन्यः सेव्यः सुरासुरैः
īśvara uvāca | svāgataṃ devaviprāṇāṃ suprabhātādya śarvarī | kiṃ kurmo vadata kṣipraṃ ko'nyaḥ sevyaḥ surāsuraiḥ
Īśvara dijo: «Sed bienvenidos, oh dioses y brahmanes sabios. Esta noche se ha vuelto ya un alba auspiciosa. Decidme pronto: ¿qué hemos de hacer? ¿Quién más es digno de ser buscado como refugio y servicio por Devas y Asuras a la vez?»
