मार्कण्डेय उवाच । आदिकल्पे पुरा राजन्क्षीरोदे भगवान् हरिः । शेते स भोगिशयने योगनिद्राविमोहितः
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | ādikalpe purā rājankṣīrode bhagavān hariḥ | śete sa bhogiśayane yoganidrāvimohitaḥ
Mārkaṇḍeya dijo: «En el kalpa primordial, oh rey, el Bienaventurado Señor Hari yacía en el Océano de Leche (Kṣīroda), recostado en el lecho de la Serpiente, sumido en el sueño yóguico.»
