Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya (continued narration)
Type: ghat
Scene: A pilgrim arrives at the tīrtha with folded hands, bathes in sacred waters, then offers charity to brāhmaṇas/poor; a visual motif of an unemptying pot/treasury symbolizes non-diminishing wealth.
Devotion expressed through tīrtha-snān (sacred bathing) and dāna (charity) is presented as a righteous path to enduring prosperity.
Bhaṇḍārī-tīrtha in the Revā Khaṇḍa, a Narmadā pilgrimage site associated with removal of poverty and protection of wealth.
