प्रवृत्तिः सर्वशास्त्राणां पुराणस्याभवत्ततः । कालेनाग्रहणं दृष्ट्वा पुराणस्य ततो मुनिः
pravṛttiḥ sarvaśāstrāṇāṃ purāṇasyābhavattataḥ | kālenāgrahaṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā purāṇasya tato muniḥ
De aquel Purāṇa procedió la actividad y el desarrollo de todos los demás śāstras. Luego, al ver el sabio que con el tiempo el Purāṇa ya no era debidamente retenido ni comprendido, tomó medidas para preservarlo.
