Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Cosmic Event: causality doctrine: nothing arises outside Śiva’s knowing/ground; universe returns to its source
It affirms Shiva (Pati) as the all-knowing, independent cause: nothing arises outside His awareness, and all manifested existence ultimately returns to Him—guiding the seeker toward surrender and liberation (moksha).
The Linga symbolizes the causal ground into which creation dissolves; worship of Saguna Shiva and the Linga trains the mind to recognize that all effects depend on Shiva, culminating in insight into His transcendent (nirguna) reality.
Meditate on Shiva as the source and end of all (srishti–sthiti–pralaya) while repeating the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” ideally with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudraksha to steady devotion and inner awareness.
