पञ्चावरणमार्गस्थं योगेश्वरस्तोत्रम्
Pañcāvaraṇa-mārga Stotra to Yogeśvara Śiva
तयोराज्ञां पुरस्कृत्य प्रार्थितं मे प्रयच्छताम् । शुद्धस्फटिकसंकाशमीशानाख्यं सदाशिवम्
tayorājñāṃ puraskṛtya prārthitaṃ me prayacchatām | śuddhasphaṭikasaṃkāśamīśānākhyaṃ sadāśivam
Honrando el mandato de aquellos dos, concédeme lo que he suplicado: a Sadāśiva, llamado Īśāna, resplandeciente como cristal puro.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Vayu Samhita discourse to the sages, reporting a supplicant’s prayer within the story)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a jyotirliṅga; it is a petition for the revelation/grant of Sadāśiva as Īśāna—an anugraha motif (bestowal of divine vision/knowledge).
Significance: Positions darśana of Sadāśiva/Īśāna as a boon granted by divine command; pilgrimage and worship are framed as eligibility for such grace (anugraha).
Role: liberating
Offering: dipa
The verse highlights surrender and right alignment with divine injunction: the seeker asks for Sadāśiva (Īśāna), whose crystal-like purity symbolizes the stainless consciousness of Pati that frees the bound soul (paśu) from pāśa.
Īśāna Sadāśiva is invoked as a luminous, approachable form (saguṇa for meditation), while pointing to His inner purity and transcendence; Linga-worship similarly uses a visible support to realize the formless, ever-auspicious Shiva.
Meditate on Shiva as śuddha-sphaṭika (pure crystal radiance), repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a bhakti-filled request for His grace, keeping the guru’s and śāstra’s command foremost.
