Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: panchakshara
Role: liberating
It teaches nyāsa—sacralizing the body by placing mantra-syllables on specific limbs—so the practitioner’s body becomes a fit vessel for Śiva’s presence, turning outer ritual into inner consecration aligned with Śaiva discipline.
Nyāsa prepares the worshipper before approaching the Liṅga (Saguna Śiva) by purifying and ‘installing’ sacred sound in the body, so the external offering to the Liṅga is supported by internal mantra-awareness and reverence for Śiva as Pati.
A systematic aṅga-nyāsa/varṇa-nyāsa: mentally (or with touch) place the Ca/Ṭa/Ta groups and specific letters (Pa, Pha, Ba, Bha, Ma) on the prescribed body parts, culminating with Ma in the heart, as part of mantra-japa and preparatory worship.
