सूत्रं सूत्रेण संमंत्र्य शिखाग्रे बंधयेच्छिशोः । चरणांगुष्ठपर्यंतमूर्ध्वकायस्य तिष्ठतः

Transliteration

sūtraṃ sūtreṇa saṃmaṃtrya śikhāgre baṃdhayecchiśoḥ | caraṇāṃguṣṭhaparyaṃtamūrdhvakāyasya tiṣṭhataḥ

Translation

Habiendo consagrado un cordón con otro cordón mediante mantra, debe atarse en el moño de la coronilla (śikhā) del niño. El niño ha de permanecer erguido, con el cuerpo recto, y el cordón debe descender hasta el dedo gordo del pie.
