It emphasizes that yogic processes involving prāṇa must follow Śaiva scriptural discipline and be sealed by mantra-tarpana—showing that liberation-oriented practice is grounded in Śiva’s revealed method, not mere personal experimentation.
Even when describing subtle yogic acts, the verse anchors the practice in devotion to Śiva through mantras—an expression of Saguna Śiva worship where mantra is treated as Śiva’s living presence and is ritually honored (tarpana).
It points to a Śaiva yogic contemplation of prāṇa’s exit and entry (a controlled prāṇic process) followed by mantra-tarpana—ritual satisfaction of the mantras through prescribed offerings as taught in Śiva-śāstra.
