संपठञ्जननीसूक्तं श्रीसूक्तमथ वा पठन् । देवीसूक्तमथो वापि मूकमन्त्रमथापि वा
saṃpaṭhañjananīsūktaṃ śrīsūktamatha vā paṭhan | devīsūktamatho vāpi mūkamantramathāpi vā
Recitando el Jananī Sūkta, o el Śrī Sūkta; o bien recitando el Devī Sūkta; o incluso pronunciando también el llamado “mantra mudo” (mūka-mantra)—por medio de tal japa y recitación reverente de himnos, el culto a la Madre queda cumplido.

In the Shiva Purana’s Shaiva-Shakta frame, honoring Devī through sūktas and japa supports Saguna worship—often performed alongside Shiva-linga pūjā—since Devī is revered as Shiva’s inseparable śakti enabling effective mantra and ritual.
Recitation of Jananī Sūkta, Śrī Sūkta, or Devī Sūkta, and especially silent mental repetition (mūka-mantra) as a meditative japa practice to steady the mind and deepen devotion.
