Sukta 9.86
राजा समुद्रं नद्यो वि गाहतेऽपामूर्मिं सचते सिन्धुषु श्रितः । अध्यस्थात्सानु पवमानो अव्ययं नाभा पृथिव्या धरुणो महो दिवः ॥
rājā samudráṃ nádyo ví gāhate ’apām ū́rmiṃ sacate síndhuṣu śritáḥ | ádhy asthāt sā́nu pávamāno avyáyaṃ nā́bhā pṛthivyā́ dharuṇó mahó diváḥ ||
Como un rey, entra en el océano como los ríos entran en él; asentado en las corrientes, se une a la ola de las aguas. El que se purifica a sí mismo ha subido a la cumbre imperecedera: el ombligo de la tierra, el poderoso cimiento del cielo.
