Sukta 7.18
न त इन्द्र सुमतयो न रायः संचक्षे पूर्वा उषसो न नूत्नाः । देवकं चिन्मान्यमानं जघन्थाव त्मना बृहतः शम्बरं भेत् ॥
ná ta indra sumatáyo ná rā́yaḥ saṁcákṣe pū́rvā uṣáso ná nū́tnāḥ | devákaṁ cin mānyamānáṁ jaghánthā́va tmánā bṛhatáḥ śámbaraṁ bhet ||
No se agotan en ti, oh Indra, ni los buenos discernimientos ni las plenitudes de riqueza: como las auroras, antiguas y siempre nuevas. Incluso a Devaka, que se tenía por grande, lo abatistes; y por tu propio vasto ser quebraste a Śambara, el cerco macizo.
