ब्राह्मणासो अतिरात्रे न सोमे सरो न पूर्णमभितो वदन्तः । संवत्सरस्य तदहः परि ष्ठ यन्मण्डूकाः प्रावृषीणं बभूव ॥

Transliteration

brāhmaṇā́so atirātré ná sóme sáro ná pūrṇám abhíto vádantaḥ | saṃvatsarásya tád áhar pári ṣṭha yán maṇḍūkāḥ prāvṛṣī́ṇaṃ babhū́va ||

Translation

Como brahmanes en el Atirātra, como un lago colmado, hablan por todas partes. Ese día señala el giro del año, cuando las ranas se vuelven «de las lluvias»: el rito del Tiempo se abre de nuevo y la palabra retorna a su círculo.
