अपो वृत्रं वव्रिवांसं पराहन्प्रावत्ते वज्रं पृथिवी सचेताः । प्रार्णांसि समुद्रियाण्यैनोः पतिर्भवञ्छवसा शूर धृष्णो ॥
apó vṛtráṃ vavri-vā́ṃsaṃ párāhan prā́vat te vájraṃ pṛthivī́ sá-cetāḥ | prā́rṇāṃsi samudriyā́ṇy aínōḥ pátir bhávān śávasā śūra dhṛ́ṣṇo ||
Tú abatistes a Vṛtra, que había cubierto las aguas; la Tierra, consintiendo en conciencia, impulsó hacia delante tu vajra, el rayo. Liberaste las corrientes oceánicas, haciéndote su señor — oh héroe, audaz por tu fuerza.
