इमा उ वां भृमयो मन्यमाना युवावते न तुज्या अभूवन् । क्व त्यदिन्द्रावरुणा यशो वां येन स्मा सिनं भरथः सखिभ्यः ॥

imā́ u vāṃ bhṛmáyo mányamānā yuvā́vate ná tujyā́ abhūvan | kvà tyád indrāvaruṇā yáśo vāṃ yéna smā sínam bhárathaḥ sákhībhyaḥ ||

Estas fuerzas inquietas, creyéndose fuertes, no pudieron en verdad acometeros, a vosotros que sois siempre jóvenes en poder. ¿Dónde está aquella gloria vuestra, oh Indra–Varuṇa, con la que antes traíais a vuestros compañeros la plenitud vencedora (sinā)?
