Sukta 10.88
गीर्णं भुवनं तमसापगूळ्हमाविः स्वरभवज्जाते अग्नौ । तस्य देवाः पृथिवी द्यौरुतापोऽरणयन्नोषधीः सख्ये अस्य ॥
gīrṇaṃ bhuvanaṃ tamasā apagūḷham āviḥ svaḥ abhavaj jāte agnau | tasya devāḥ pṛthivī dyauḥ utāpo ’raṇayann oṣadhīḥ sakhye asya ||
El mundo, tragado y oculto por la oscuridad, se hizo manifiesto: apareció el ámbito luminoso cuando nació Agni. Por su amistad, los dioses —la Tierra y el Cielo, y también las Aguas— hicieron brotar las plantas.
