Sukta 1.52
परीं घृणा चरति तित्विषे शवोऽपो वृत्वी रजसो बुध्नमाशयत् । वृत्रस्य यत्प्रवणे दुर्गृभिश्वनो निजघन्थ हन्वोरिन्द्र तन्यतुम् ॥
parī́ṃ ghṛṇā́ cárati titviṣé śávo ’pó vṛtvī́ rájasaḥ budhnám ā́śayat | vṛtrásya yát praváṇe duḥgṛ́bhiśvano nijaghántha hánvor índra tanyatúm ||
En torno a él se mueve el fulgor ardiente; su fuerza relampaguea. Tras ceñir las aguas, las asentó en el fundamento del espacio del mundo. Cuando, en la ladera de Vṛtra, entre ásperos choques, abatistes el trueno de sus mandíbulas, oh Indra, hiciste caer el obstáculo.
