Bharata’s Ominous Dream
evaṃ bruvāṇaṃ suhṛdaṃ bharataḥ pratyuvāca ha |
śṛṇu tvaṃ yan-nimittaṃ me dainyam etad upāgatam ||
Addressing Bharata amidst his companions some one close among them said O friend! why are you dejected in spite of being in the company of friends.
Satya as dharma: Bharata chooses honest explanation rather than concealment, enabling right counsel and appropriate action.
Bharata begins explaining the cause of his despair to his concerned friend(s).
Candor and seriousness—Bharata openly names the cause of his inner turmoil.
