«Lakṣmaṇa, gobierna esta tierra junto conmigo. Esta fortuna real también ha venido a ti, pues para mí eres como un segundo ser interior.»
O Lakshmana! rule this earth together with me. This royal fortune also accrues to you, for you are my second innermost self.
Power is to be shared with trusted, virtuous kin for the public good—kingship is a collective responsibility, not private enjoyment.
Rama, anticipating coronation, reassures Lakshmana that governance and royal prosperity belong to them together.
Fraternal loyalty and non-possessiveness about authority (generosity in leadership).
